Our approach
Thin Place is designed to support prayer and spiritual practice without turning a person's inner life into content. This policy explains what information Beacon and Balance LLC processes through the Thin Place website and iOS application.
This website
The marketing website does not use advertising trackers, behavioral analytics, account registration, contact forms, or non-essential cookies. Our hosting and security providers may process basic technical request information—such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps—to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability.
The Thin Place app
When you create a Thin Place account, the app processes information needed to authenticate you and provide features across your devices. This may include:
- Account and authentication information managed by Clerk.
- Preferences and non-sensitive ritual configuration, such as ritual titles, schedules, and selected practice types.
- Limited technical events used to understand service health and feature availability.
Thin Place does not ask you to store private prayer or reflection text, sacred words, or journal entries. Practice progress used for interruption recovery stays on your device and excludes private spiritual content.
Scripture and third-party services
Scripture is provided through the official YouVersion Platform experience. Beacon and Balance LLC does not proxy or persist licensed Scripture bodies. YouVersion, Clerk, Apple, and our hosting providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies when you use their services.
Retention and security
We retain information only as reasonably needed to provide the app, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information processed, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your Thin Place account. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate security and operational purposes.
Children
Thin Place is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app and applicable requirements change. The date above will identify the current version.
